Following a national engagement strategy that included similar gatherings in California and Rhode Island, Emerald Cities Cleveland organized a high-level stakeholder meeting focused on advocating for an equitable allocation of resources to the multifamily housing sector. Co-sponsored by the National Housing Trust, National Consumer Law Center, Enterprise Community Partners and the Benningfield Group, over 30 local, regional and national stakeholders discussed opportunities for collaboration to identify a set of regional policy priorities to create and sustain affordable, efficient, multifamily housing in Northeast Ohio. The session included presentations by the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Ohio Department of Development, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and Ohio Partners for Affordable Energy.
