Unemployment at 0; incomes double; Ohio embraces wind power
Posted December 27, 2012 in eNews
OK, that hasn’t really happened, at least not yet. But this is one of your last chances in 2012 to support our work to build a stronger Ohio!
Low unemployment, higher incomes that help lessen inequality, a new approach to energy and the economy — Policy Matters Ohio sees these as building blocks for an Ohio that works for everyone, and we work every day to support policies that will get us there.
Please consider supporting Policy Matters with a tax-deductible year-end donation.
We push for a more prosperous, equitable, sustainable and inclusive Ohio, and we do it with deep research, strategic communications, fierce advocacy, and solid outreach. What’s the result?
We change the debate: Our research on the economy, energy, education, work, and communities helps elevate the case for an Ohio that invests in children, families and the future. We change minds: Our studies on collective bargaining and the minimum wage helped Ohio voters make smart choices that helped Ohio workers. We change policy: Our research on renewable energy helped lead to an advanced energy standard.
And, ultimately, we change lives: Cleveland Saves, a program we run, has enrolled more than 15,000 low-income Ohioans in courses showing them how to save more of their hard-earned money and resist exploitative financial products.
With your help, our dedicated staff can dig deeper and disseminate our findings more widely. So please make a tax-deductible contribution today.
We couldn’t do any of this without help from people across Ohio who share the vision of opportunity and prosperity that Policy Matters promotes. We appreciate that support. We ask you to consider donating so we can work together on sane fiscal policies that put future prosperity ahead of political expediency.
Thank you again,
Amy Hanauer
