Kalitha Willliams, policy liaison at Policy Matters Ohio, was recently elected to the board of the Consumer Federation of America (CFA), a research, advocacy, education and service organization. Kalitha has led Policy Matters Ohio's consumer protection work for six years and convenes Ohio CASH, the state asset building coalition which includes health and human service organizations, advocacy groups and programs that provide free tax preparation services.
"I'm honored to serve on the CFA board and join the fight to develop and advance national and state level policies that help Americans build and protect their assets,” said Williams. "Recent attacks on consumers pose a threat to the financial stability of our families, communities and nation."
Celebrating 50 years of advocating for American consumers, CFA is the nation's oldest consumer advocacy organization. Its membership includes more than 250 individuals, dozens of national advocacy groups, over 100 state and local advocacy groups, government consumer agencies and other pro-consumer groups.
