Who Gains? What The New U.S. Tax Law Means for Ohio Taxpayers

June 18, 2003

This June 2003 analysis by the Institute on Taxation & Economic Policy reveals that the federal tax changes enacted in May will substantially benefit high-income Ohio taxpayers, while less affluent taxpayers will see small cuts, amounting to as little as $42 over the next four years for the bottom fifth of the income scale.

Policy Matters' research on tax fairness is supported by a generous grant from the Cleveland Foundation.
