Asset building is an anti-poverty strategy that focuses on helping families become financially stable by helping them accumulate and protect their assets. The asset building movement is directly linked to the health and human services community because we have a mutual commitment to end poverty. Our work to eliminate the barriers to financial stability cannot be removed from employment, income, and work. To grow and protect assets, families need access to adequate employment and education.
What does Ohio look like in these important areas? Are we behind or ahead of other states? Join our founding executive director, Amy Hanauer, to discuss the 2012 State of Working Ohio report. Amy will give a brief presentation on the report and take questions from participants.
