Sustainable Communities

Ohio industry consumes one-third of all energy used in the state. Manufacturers burn fossil fuels on-site to heat metals and chemicals, but still buy electricity from the grid to power their factories. Our research shows that combining heat and power on site at factories can improve efficiency and reduce climate change.
