A strong workforce training system is integral to Ohio’s economic recovery. Ohio has skilled workers, but the skills don’t always match the jobs available. Yet we’ve cut training for worker funding. This report details funding to workforce programs housed in the Department of Development, Board of Regents, and the Department of Jobs and Family Services. We find that the relatively small cut masks deep resource shifts, directing more funding to training already employed workers.
