Cleveland’s Sustainability Summit On Friday, January 26, the world celebrated the first International Day of Clean Energy, declared by the United Nations to promote an inclusive, equitable transition to clean energy around the world. In Ohio, that transition is not going well. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), Ohio ranked 46th in the nation for renewable energy consumption[1] as share of total energy consumed in the state in 2021, with renewables representing just 4.7% of all energy consumption in Ohio.
